untuk apa kita dicipta?

Biasanya bila bulan puasa gini.. aku tak pergi mengajar kelas Islamiat di masjid tempat aku ni, kononnya la... nanti malam nak pergi masjid tu juga untuk solat terawikh kann... Tapi, Ahad baru ni aku dah macam 'bidan terjun' kena ngajar sebab cikgu ganti aku tu tak sihat... Bila tak buat apa-apa persediaan ngajar tu, risau juga... aku nak cerita pasal apa ya hari ni... ilham marilah kau menjelma!

Zumm! lebih kurang gini le sembang aku masa kelas hari tu...

Assalamualaikum... Here, I am inviting you to think... about the Purpose of our Life!

In this world which is full of prejudice and cultural conditioning, it is very hard to find people that are able to take a moment to think about life objectively, and try to reach the truth about this world and the real purpose of our life. Did you know?

Although this is such fundamental and important question, most people are unable to come to the conclusion through observation or analytical reasoning. Rather, in most case, they simply tell you what someone else said, or what is commonly presumed by other; what my father says the purpose of life is, what my teacher says, what my friends says etc.

If I ask you why do people work? you may say... because it is a necessity in order to support oneself and to meet the needs of the family. If I ask you why we sleep? you may answer... that it is a common necessity for human beings.

Well... what is the goal or the purpose of life? There are so many and different answers because people are confused. Is our purpose in this world simply to eat, sleep, dress, work acquire some material things and enjoy ourselves? Is this our purpose? Why are we born? What is the object of our existence? What is the wisdom behind the creation of human and this tremendous universe? Think about these questions.

Some argue that there is no evidence of any divine forces, there is no evidence of the existence of God, and there is no evidence that this universe was created for any divine purpose. Instead, they pretend that this world came by chance.

Ok... If I gave each one of you a $100 for no reason, you would at least say thank you. Right? So..how about your eyes, your kidneys, your brain, your life, your birth; what about these blessing? Who gave you those? Is He not worthy of praise and thanks? Is He not worthy of your worship and recognition?

In the Nobel Qur'an, Allah the Almighty says: {I have not created the Jinn (spirit beings) nor the human being for any other purpose except to worship Me} Al Qur'an:[Adh-Dhariyat 51:56]. Hence, the purpose of our life is to recognize the Creator, to be grateful to the Creator, to worship the Creator, to surrender ourselves to Him and obey the laws that He has decided for us.

In short, it means to worship Him, this is the purpose of our life. Thus, whatever we do, eat, drink, dress, work, are just consequential; the aim is that we have been created to worship Him. That's the purpose of our life.

Ramadhan al-Kareem y'all...dan selamat menjalani ibadah puasa!

Salam dari downunder...
